Our Story — McClary Industries
Our Story

Five generations.
One operating company.

McClary Industries began as a dairy operation in 1912. Today the network spans six lines of business, twelve-plus North American production sites, and an integrated global footprint — built by an operating team that runs the work from the inside.

Operators, not intermediaries

We build food and beverage businesses from the inside.

What began with dairy farming in 1912 grows today into one of the most integrated food, beverage, and wellness manufacturing networks in North America. Every generation adds new capabilities — scaling production, expanding categories, embracing technology — while staying true to founding values.

The defining characteristic of McClary’s leadership is that we run plants, build brands, and ship product ourselves. Founder-CEO experience in scaling beverage operations. Enterprise-scale R&D leadership recruited from Fortune 500 food, flavor, and ingredient enterprises. Plant operations management at one of North America’s largest dairy enterprises. Quality and regulatory science with four organizational layers of senior leadership. Our team understands what your brand needs because we build brands and run plants ourselves.

What We Stand For

Five principles. One operating company.

McClary operates with the strategy, regulatory, scientific, and operational disciplines of a global enterprise — at the agility of a focused private business.

Principle 01

Integration over fragmentation

Most contract manufacturing relationships fragment across multiple vendors — manufacturer, co-packer, packaging supplier, logistics provider, regulatory consultant. We collapse that into one relationship. Six lines of business, one program manager, one chain of accountability.

Principle 02

Continuous formulation

Most contract manufacturers treat formulation as a one-time setup followed by transactional production. We treat it as an ongoing discipline. Career-track formulation chemistry sits in-house and supports reformulation as ingredients change, supply chains shift, or regulatory requirements evolve.

Principle 03

Four organizational layers of quality

Few contract manufacturers carry one senior quality leader. We carry four — operating at corporate research, enterprise compliance, director, and shop-floor levels. Long tenure in regulated work matters, and the layered structure handles complexity without single points of failure.

Principle 04

Operator-level depth

Our senior leadership has operated plants, founded and exited companies, and run R&D for Fortune 500 enterprises. The team understands manufacturing operations from the inside because the team operates manufacturing every day.

Principle 05

Five generations, still family-rooted

Heritage is not just historical. Five generations of operating discipline shape how we evaluate new categories, build customer relationships, and run plants. Long-tenure leadership with short-cycle decision rights.

How We Operate

One operating company. Six lines of business. Five generations in.

The strategy, regulatory, scientific, and operational disciplines of a global enterprise — at the agility of a focused private business. That is the operating model. Long-tenure senior leadership. Short-cycle decision rights. Integration instead of fragmentation. Continuous formulation instead of transactional setup.

The brands that succeed with McClary tend to share something in common: they want a partner who operates the way they want to operate — with depth, with rigor, with discipline, and without the layers of intermediation that slow most contract manufacturing relationships down.
